It's been 2 years that I never back to my home town in Batu Pahat, Johor. Last weekend, I went back with my mom and sister to pay a visit to my grandma.
When we reach the Batu Pahat (BP) town, we ate Kueh Chap for lunch. Taste wise is ok as heard that this is the famous Keuh Chap in BP. Total 4 of us are enjoying the meal and the bill come out is RM 32.40 which I think is cheap compared to KL.
Next to the Kueh Chap shop, I saw lots of people is queuing for Char Kueh Tiao. When we look at the price list. Small - RM 2.50, Big - RM 3.00
Wow, I was surprise that I still can find this price for Char Kueh Tiao. So we order 2 packets (Big) and what's inside the kueh tiao is bean sprouts, clam (si ham) and egg, this is what we pay for the price. Found that they are using lard to fry the kueh tiao, no wonder it smell so good and taste good too. How I wish they can move to my office area so I can order cheap food everyday, hahaha..
The next morning, we go for Malay food which is nearby to the wet market in town. We had ordered Lontong (RM 3.50), Mee Rebus (RM 4.00) and Satay (RM 0.50/pce). Huh, still cheap compare to KL. For the Lontong, I still prefer the one that located inside the wet market but unfortunately their Lontong is selling like hot cakes, sudah habis. Next time need to wake up early ;p
